Semiconductor nanomaterials for energy and biological discovery.
Our group synthesizes quantum dots, which are nanoparticles of semiconductors that have size-tunable properties. They are the most advanced materials known for biological imaging and green energy generation. Our group has developed new methods for doping quantum dots, synthesizing long-lifetime non-blinking fluorophores and delivering these imaging agents into live cells.
